The AVRSF is a nonprofit and all volunteer operation. For additional information or inquiries not addressed on these web pages please contact the AVRSF Directors at otero-science-fair@otero.edu.
All of the judges for the fair are all La Junta area professionals, Otero faculty, and a few K-12 area science teachers who are not sponsoring science fair participants. These individuals volunteer their time and expertise and are an essential component to the fair's success. The judges decisions are final and not open for discussion or disclosure. Also, keep in mind that science fair participants will not receive an award by default, however all students will receive a participant ribbon. Placement awards are earned based on the individuals project's merit within their Class.
